Safety Education

Beach First Aid

Every year thousands of tourists visit our beautiful idyllic island of Bonaire. Sadly, not all go home, or go home injured. Emergencies can happen any time, being prepared for the unforeseen is essential. Emergency training classes are essential for individuals and diving team members as they prepare for unforeseen emergencies. Such classes provide basic yet critical knowledge about how to react in emergencies, such as natural disasters, accidents, and medical emergencies.

By taking these classes, individuals and staff can learn life-saving skills, such as administering CPR, intervening in choking, cardiac arrest cases, and controlling severe bleeding. Moreover, emergency training classes equip individuals with skills to think critically and rationally during such crises, potentially reducing stress and anxiety associated with catastrophic events. Taking emergency training classes is essential to help ensure personal safety of staff and the safety of all our guests and visitors.

Meet Lt. Jason

During my career in the Fire Service, several years were spent in our Fire Academy teaching public safety at various levels, from career firefighters to boy scouts. I am passionate about teaching and take it personally to ensure that those around me are trained to the highest levels. I want to make it my goal to provide that same high level of training here on the island and impart to those I teach some of the knowledge I have acquired over decades in Public Safety.

Customizable ongoing training can also be developed to suit the individual needs of the resort or location here on Bonaire.

‘Under pressure, you don’t rise to the occasion, you sink to the level of your training. That’s why we train so hard.’  -
